The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) aims to bring a cumulative society by improving the quality of life for those who require it the most. It provides an estimated 500,000 Australians with funding for support services that they require as per their eligibility to live their life independently.
Those who are Australian citizens or Permanent Residents of Australia, are under 65 years of age, and have a significant or a permanent disability are eligible to be an NDIS participant, and avail the support services under the NDIS.
NDIS has already been rolled out in Inner and Outer East Melbourne and Bayside Peninsula. Hume Moreland, Central Highlands and Inner Gippsland are also under the NDIS. It has progressively rolled out across Victoria, and would continue to do so in the near future as well. Please visit the NDIS website www.NDIS.gov.au or call on 1800 800 110 for more information.
